Some conservatives tried to clown him for it, but Newsom leaned into the joke. He posted this photo with the caption “Democracy requires flexibility,” and dipped.
It seems like Ted Cruz has zero self-preservation instincts, because he decided to jump in on the fun, too!
Cruz responded to Newsom’s tweet by saying, “Apparently being elected in California has different responsibilities than in Texas.”
If you know ANYTHING about Newsom, you can probably guess that he did NOT let this one slide.
He responded simply: “yeah, it requires working.”
Obviously, people were gagged by this and did NOT leave Cruz with even an ounce of dignity.

“The ratio. Oh the ratio!” this person wrote.
