🚀 Offshore or in-house, you have to decide. Even though it is super tempting to go for that “budget-friendly” offshore team, if your startup’s heart is technology, you better get into attracting and hiring tech talent early on. You might think that everybody will be so excited about your idea, that it is easy to find great employees. Reality looks different though. So, prepare early on..
.
. 🚀 Show that you can deliver. An idea is worth nothing. If you want to attract great tech talent, you really have to put in work to get your idea of the ground. An idea alone is not enough to attract really good technical people. Show that you really know your stuff (be it market research, sales…) and that you already validated your idea. .
.
🚀 Check that your applicant means business. Some people are good talkers. Especially if you are not that tech savvy, you have to get reassurance that your candidate really can deliver. Hiring for potential is a smart (and budget-friendly) move for a startup, but you really must make sure your employee can live up to the needs of your startup.
