Reliance’s MyJio app has crossed the 100 million download mark on the Google Play Store, as the company’s subscriber base continues to grow.
The MyJio app lets users monitor their Jio accounts and subscriptions, as well as purchase recharges instantly. It also serves as a download link for other Jio apps like JioCinema, JioMusic, JioMags, and JioMovies.
MyJio is the second app of Indian origin to reach the coveted milestone, with online video streaming service Hotstar being the first. Other telecom operators like Vodafone and Airtel are still miles behind, with their respective apps having garnered downloads somewhere in the 10 million range.
“MyJio has crossed 100 million downloads on Google Play. It is the second Indian mobile application to cross 100 million download mark and first self-care mobile application from an operator,” a source from Reliance Jio told PTI.
More impressive, however, is that the MyJio app has achieved this feat in less than a year of its existence on Google Play. The app also has a version for iOS, though download numbers are far fewer on Apple’s platform.
