Growing up, I was no stranger to the YA drama or the teen comedy — Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, The O.C., you name it. As a teen, I was always so confused as to why the kids I went to high school with never looked like the high school kids on screen. Lo and behold, it was because all these “teenage” characters were played by full-on adults.
