And lastly, “Not accepting the fact that younger women can know they don’t want kids. I have met many older women who won’t accept that as a woman in her 20s, knowing she doesn’t want kids, can’t possibly be true. ‘You’ll change your mind,’ or ‘you might meet someone who you want to have kids with, you can’t possibly know yet.’ You can know that a lot of younger women want to be childfree. The underlying projection that all women will ultimately become mothers as they age, because they have a mothering instinct, is not true. You can just know, and it’s annoying.”

“In the last few years, I’ve been on the receiving end of an unwanted barrage of dirty jokes, sex advice, utterly traumatizing stories, bullying, emotional abuse, hyper-sexualization, and pregnancy schedules because I’m reaching the age where I should have ‘at least three children.’ What puzzles me even more is the older female generations claiming ‘moral high ground’ on important issues, but when it’s against the benefits of society, they refrain, ‘Oh no, I did this in your best interest.’ It’s puzzling to think that these women would be calling themselves mama bears and then actively bullying younger generations into accepting their lifestyles. They forget where I asked for any of it, and if it’s brought up, every single one is an all-for-emotionally-unhealthy way of handling accountability or being told no.”
