“I went on a date with a guy, and I just felt like the whole time when he was speaking, he was trying to paint a certain image of himself and tell me what kind of person he was instead of just organically allowing me to form my own judgement. It just felt very inauthentic and off-putting. He didn’t necessarily say or do anything ‘wrong,’ but I just felt like I was listening to a pitch the whole date, and it put me off entirely.”
