There are two major questions that people regularly ask since Donald Trump was elected for the second (and, please, God, hopefully last) time. The first is, “WHY???!?!?!?!?!!?!?!? WHEN WILL THE SUFFERING END????” The second — who’s next?
Sure, the presidential election is still years away, but that hasn’t stopped the people of the internet from discussing which Democrat has the best shot of bagging the presidency in 2028.
1.
“Andy Beshear. He’s the Democrats’ best shot. He appeals to Republicans and has good domestic policy, at least in Kentucky.”
2.
“Mark Kelly is a great choice. He is loyal. Determined and smart. The guy has had an exemplary life and career.”
3.
“I will take Jon Stewart and whoever he picks as VP.”
4.
“Pritzker makes a lot of sense. He’s wealthy and isn’t afraid to be an attack dog. He’s from the Midwest. And he’s appealing to many factions of the party.”
5.
“I’d want AOC. We need someone young and progressive. A fighter and someone who actually stands for things.”
6.
“My preference is Buttigieg.”
7.
“It’s going to be Newsom and whichever senator puts their name in. Either way, I predict the DNC is going to do their best to court moderate Republicans who are tired of Trump’s nonsense again.”
8.
“Jon Ossoff. Senator. From Georgia. Young. Well spoken. Handsome. No skeletons.”
9.
“No one on the bench; bring in some new blood for once.”
Now, I turn it over to you. Of these nine options, who would you be most likely to vote for in 2028? Let us know in the comments.
