Timothée Chalamet was all about dreaming big in 2025, and it looks like he’s about to be winning big in 2026.
At last night’s Critics Choice Awards, Timothée kicked off award season with a win for Best Actor for his performance in Marty Supreme, which, for those who are invested, puts him in top contention for an Oscar nomination later this month.
Delivering his acceptance speech on stage, Timothée acknowledged his nervousness and even stumbled over his words a few times. And I have to wonder if that had anything to do with the fact that his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, was watching on from the audience.
For context, Kylie and Timmy have been together for some time now, but they are notoriously private. The famous pair have made a number of appearances together, but they’ve never discussed each other in public, nor have they shared anything about their relationship on social media. In fact, they’ve historically avoided answering questions about their relationship to preserve their privacy.
But it’s a new year, and it seems like they might have had a change of heart. At the end of his Best Actor acceptance speech, Timothée gave an adorable shoutout to Kylie in the audience, saying: “Thank you to my partner of three years. Thank you for our foundation. I love you. I couldn’t do this without you.”
Luckily for us, the cameras cut to Kylie’s reaction straight away, capturing the moment that she appeared to say “I love you” back to Timothee on the stage. AWWWW!!!!
Given how little these two have given us over the years, Timothée’s shoutout is a pretty major milestone. And, as you’d expect, the fans are loving it: “they are gonna get married I’m calling it,” one user wrote on X.
“Of all his speeches he’s never been this nervous. Maybe cause he was waiting to mention her?” another fan speculated over on Reddit, where someone else pointed out the way his voice appeared to shake a little when he said “I couldn’t do this without you.”
Amid the commentary, people are also expressing disbelief that they’ve been together for three whole years, with this being the very first time that either Timmy or Kylie has confirmed the actual timeline of their relationship.
“Some of that timeline must have been secret or I have left reality and can no longer perceive the passage of time accurately,” one Reddit user said, echoing the thoughts of many other baffled fans. “Them being together this long feels like a fever dream,” said someone else.
In case you need a reminder, the initial rumors of Kylie and Timothée’s romance surfaced in April 2023. At this time, a source alleged that the pair began spending time together over the holidays in 2022, shortly after Kylie’s split from Travis Scott — which would all align with Timothée’s timeline.
