And here’s where I’m a little more careful:
Produce — Can be hit or miss. Sometimes it’s amazing, sometimes it’s better to supplement at another store. I usually have luck with things like apples, citrus, and potatoes, but berries and salad greens are almost always a no-go unless I am eating them that day.
Proteins — Mostly, you have to be very wary of the dates, as most things will expire in two to three days, but you can find hidden gems. For example, the cheapest ground beef I found at Whole Foods was $8.99/lb, but at Grocery Outlet, it’s going for only $5/lb.
