At a fast food restaurant in Denver, workers are speaking out about issues, such as employers only giving them a portion of the tips customers leave. Employees reported that they were only receiving 50% of the tips left via credit card.
So, this viral video by TikToker @picklejuicelover33 about a tipping situation has amassed over 2 million views. She explained that, after having good banter with a couple she was serving, the man didn’t leave a tip, so she decided to ask if her service was bad. The man accused her of being rude, and she explained that not tipping costs servers money.
Ultimately, the man ended up telling the manager about the situation, and after @picklejuicelover33 refused to apologize, she said she was fired.
This whole situation started a bigger discussion about tipping — one that wasn’t exactly expected…
