Aaaand this quote from Jake Lloyd, who played Young Anakin in Episode I, claiming Palpatine was dead and that “no one else” could kill the Emperor:
Why these aged poorly: Episodes VII, VIII, and IX were eventually made. Their ultimate villain? Emperor Palpatine, who isn’t dead after all. He’s also revealed to have been cloned — one clone was Rey’s father.
As for Lloyd, his “nobody else could do that” quote would be proven false, as Palpatine is killed in Episode IX by Rey.
Lloyd’s comments also age poorly, unfortunately, because Lloyd (along with Hayden Christensen, who played Anakin’s older version) would receive a huge amount of hate for his role in the prequel series, which itself got a ton of backlash.
