If you’re more focused on budget or already love your go-tos, reviewers also shared their favorite comparable everyday lip products at different price points. Those included:
• Alana: For liners, I rotate between Charlotte Tilbury, NYX, Revlon, and Rare Beauty. The Makeup Forever liner definitely beats all of them in terms of consistency, hydration, and smoothness to the touch! But my second favorite is the NYX lip liner, in terms of ease of use and formula. (And it hasn’t dried out!)
• Siena: My standby is Glossier’s Ultralip in Catchet (a walnut brown) layered with Kosas Wet Lip Oil. I don’t own a lip liner because I usually don’t go for much color and have pretty full lips naturally. (In comparison, I thought Sabrina’s balm in place of my gloss/lip oil lasted longer, but was too pink for me.)
• Melissa: For an everyday lip, I like Glossier Ultralip in Villa (a rosy mauve), which has a similar hydrating feel and easy application. Or a swipe of Benetint with Laneige lip mask layered on top for hydration.
• Bella: I don’t tend to wear a lot of nude lips. I’m very devoted to my Clinique Black Honey lip combo (and darker shades in general) to complement my dark features.
• Megan: Summer Fridays lip butter balm in Vanilla is my FAVE! Sabrina’s combo is a more elevated version, with a bit more color.
