Fads, fads, fads. They’re cool for a few weeks or a few months or a few years, but aren’t always recognizable in the moment. It’s only later that everyone wonders why they still have Beanie Babies in their attic. Recently, over on Threads, someone asked, “What is the biggest fad of right now that people don’t realize is going to be ‘that thing we all did in 2025?'” and these 17 responses had me nodding in agreement:

“I see LOTS of people with clear eyeglass frames. 20 years from now, we will know the photos were taken in 2024-2026.”

“Whatever bullshit water bottle my 9 year old keeps asking for now that Stanleys are no longer cool.”
