People Are Sharing Their Exorcism Stories, And I'm Sleeping With The Lights On

“One of my aunts would get INCREDIBLY angry/out of control at random times. She had 10 times my strength. It took four people to pin her down. My grandmother, a rather traditional Moroccan woman, was convinced she was possessed. A few months later, when it was getting way too difficult for us to handle her, my uncle contacted a good friend in Morocco with an ‘exorcist’ in his family. The exorcist believed she was possessed by a demon, commonly known in Muslim culture as ‘jinn’ or ‘djinn.’ We met this exorcist. He asked us to bring sheep guts to him for the exorcism.”

“So we did. He puts the guts in a bowl. My aunt was lying in front of us, next to the bowl, we were sitting around her holding hands, and the exorcist started saying stuff I can’t understand (it was traditional Arabic and not a Moroccan dialect). He got sweaty as he talked faster. I saw my aunt twitching in what looked like pain. The light went out (I think I peed my pants at this moment). The exorcist screamed something. My aunt screamed as well, then total silence. The silence lasted about 30 seconds, but it felt like HOURS. The exorcist’s assistant then came in with a lamp, and we saw that both he and my aunt passed out, the bowl was on the floor, and the guts next to it. The guts turned black. I’m having goosebumps just writing that and re-picturing that. The assistant urged us not to touch the guts at any cost. The exorcist woke up, put water on his face, and then told us to follow him. We went to a nearby empty hill. On top of it, he asked us to burn the guts right there, as ‘the demon was now possessing the sheep and we could now get rid of it.’

I have never seen my aunt show any problem whatsoever since that day. I have trouble staying around her as I am genuinely scared.”
