“Raspy, gurgling breathing from a sleeping loved one. If they don’t wake up when you call to them or touch them, call 911, unlock your front door ASAP, and have an address ready. Please, pleeease have one ready. That’s when you get your loved one onto a flat surface (get them off the mattress, but if you can’t, CPR on the bed) and follow the instructions for CPR that the calltaker will have ready. They should be telling you how to perform CPR while they get help there.”
