“The rest of the classroom was dead quiet. The girl was sobbing harder, trying to shrink into herself. I finally said something along the lines of maybe we should give her a minute or send her to the office.
That is when the teacher snapped at me. She stormed over, got inches from my face, and started shouting at me to be quiet. It was aggressive enough that I stood up automatically. Several students immediately got up and physically positioned themselves between us. We grabbed our friend and walked out together while she was yelling for us to return to our seats.
All 22 of us went straight to the office and reported exactly what happened. We were interviewed separately, and every single statement matched. We all described it as verbal abuse and intimidation. This happened on a Thursday; she was absent Friday and was officially placed on leave the following Monday. Parents also had a lot to say about her, and none of it was flattering. It was the end of the school year, so she never returned, and we had a sub. Later we heard she was reassigned to an adult education program for GED students.” — u/Cold-Assumption9928
