“We’ve only had to cut off my dad and his wife for being absolutely insufferable, harmful bigots. We will gather as usual with my in-laws, and hopefully, my mom will be coming to stay with us. We actually talk politics and religion quite a bit. The key is being able to have respectful, nonviolent discourse. My dad and his wife are so rigid, never curious, and actually get OFFENDED that one would have the gall to disagree with them. So, we will have a lovely, nonviolent, and respectful Christmas this year without them!”
