“Boarding a United flight from the US to Europe, and I sat in someone’s feces. Didn’t notice it for about two minutes until I saw it on my hands. Stood up right away and alerted a flight attendant. She came back and handed me a towel??? I’m like, no, I want a different seat. She said no, the flight is full. I feel bad for the flight attendant, as they aren’t responsible for this type of cleanup, but handing me a towel isn’t going to solve it. At that point, I went to the restroom with my bag (thank goodness for a change of clothes) and washed my hands.”
“When I came back, they had swapped out the cushions, so I sat down and figured I was good. I wasn’t. I fastened my seat belt and missed that the underside of the seatbelt was also contaminated. I ended up cleaning the seat belt with the towel and a bottle of water, then went back to the bathroom, washed my hands, did my best to clean up my outfit, and then was stuck in that same seat and outfit for over eight hours. Ick.”
