Six-seven!!!! LOL, right, kids? I made this post for all you Gen Alpha monsters to yuck it up at in that inexplicable way you do any time the number 6-7 comes up.
I even saw a video online this week where hundreds of teens crowded an In-N-Out Burger waiting for the clerk to call out order number 67. When he did, they fell all over themselves screaming and laughing. Seriously, what is wrong with you kids? This “6-7” crap is even more annoying than all that chicken-jockey madness you just stopped crowing about.
To anyone older than 17: If you’re wondering what the hell I’m going on about, “6-7” is just a random number kids scream because the internet told them it’s funny. It doesn’t really mean anything. It took off after the number was said in a rap song, and then a video describing basketball star LaMelo Ball as six-seven went viral on TikTok. Honestly, I don’t know, man. 🙄
Anyway, I just want to be an old “get-off-my-lawn” bastard complaining with the proverbial fist in the air. I am sooooo tired of hearing kids laugh at this! Like, enough is enough! And while we’re on the subject — can we stop pretending it’s some brilliant, hilarious trend? In my day, when we yelled out stupid numbers, they at least had some subversive meaning behind them, like 69 or 420! This number is just pathetic. You’ve gone soft, kids, and I expect better of you!
I am near my breaking point listening to my 12-year-old and his friends constantly cackling at this number. However, if there’s one bright spot to this all, it comes as a parent. At least I don’t have to sit my son down and give him a speech about sex and drugs over this stupid number like our poor parents did with our stupid numbers.
OK, rant over. Anyone else over this trend too?
