If you keep up with the Kardashians, you know that they’re all about Christmas, and this year was no exception, as they not only hosted their annual holiday party but also showed off a family gingerbread house.
The decoration caught fans’ attention for several reasons. First, it included Timothée Chalamet’s name, showing how serious his relationship with Kylie Jenner appears to be. But others were disappointed by who was left off — including longtime Kardashian fixture Scott Disick, among others — while Tristan Thompson’s name made the cut.
As fans are aware, Tristan has had a seriously tumultuous relationship with Khloé. She endured multiple cheating scandals, including in 2018, just days before she was due to give birth to their first child, and in 2019 with her family friend Jordyn Woods. Their relationship ultimately came to an end in 2022 after it was revealed that Tristan had gotten another woman pregnant while he and Khloé were privately engaged and planning to have another child.
So when fans saw Tristan’s name on the gingerbread house, many were not happy.
However, Khloé defended the decision.
After an Instagram user commented on her Christmas post, “I see Tristan is on the Gingerbread House, girl, he ain’t gonna change. Be careful!” Khloé responded to clarify her stance.
“Hey baby. He’s my children’s father and forever apart of our family,” she wrote. “Thank you though 😉 trust me. My kids come first forever and always ❤️ Merry Christmas.”
Many readers praised Khloé’s response as mature. One person wrote, “Tell em Koko!” Another called her comments “honorable,” adding, “My dad cheated on my mom when we were younger and to this day she has never uttered a bad word about him… because she is a woman of grace and I respect her so much more for allowing us to make our minds up about him.”
Still, others weren’t thrilled.
One said, “It’s sad Scott wasn’t on the gingerbread house he’s family too.” A Reddit user added that “by khloes logic. Kanye, Scott, Blac Chyna/Angela and travis Scott should have their names on there right? 🤷🏻♀️”
“Scott, Travis Scott, Chyna/Angela, Caitlin, Kanye…. She should have just said nothing. Literally no other co parents on the house only SO and a spouse,” another commenter added.
Others were even more critical of Khloé’s explanation, with one person writing, “‘My kids come first forever and always’ what tf does your serial cheating baby daddy on a gingerbread house have to do with your kids? So tired of her bs excuses, the man’s on the gingerbread house because she still wants him, period.”
