One Reddit user said, “Getting rid of your pets for someone is crazy. Asking someone to do that is even crazier,” while another added, “You’re allowed to dislike cats, although having that strong of a reaction to them is weird… but asking your husband to get rid of his cats is just abhorrent behaviour.”
At the same time, some people argued that the backlash was unwarranted.
