If You’ve Ever Wondered How Influencers Make Money, Here’s Francesca Farago Explaining That She Was Offered Money To Mock Hailey Bieber

Francesca Farago Talks Shady Hailey Bieber TikTok Deal

Francesca Farago said she was offered money to take part in a TikTok trend mocking Hailey Bieber.

You may recognize Francesca from the reality shows Too Hot to Handle and Perfect Match. She’s popular on social media, especially on her TikTok, where she’s documented raising baby twins with her fiancé Jesse Sullivan.

Lately, there’s been a spike in criticism toward Hailey tied in with a viral video (which is full of inaccuracies) calling her a “psycho stalker.” There’s subsequently been a string of videos where women will say that their male partners think that “fate” brought them together — only to cut to a video of Hailey laughing.

In a video posted to her Snapchat story, she said of the format, “Everyone’s calling themselves Hailey Bieber, because they stalk their man and that’s how they got them. It’s funny but it’s also mean.”

“Sometimes me and Jesse get paid to do a trend on TikTok. The person who started the trend, or the person who owns the song that’s on the trend, will pay creators to do that trend and to use that song,” she explained, noting that someone — though she isn’t sure who — “is paying creators to do that trend making fun of Hailey, and I think that is so mean.”

While Francesca realized that in the trend “girls are also making fun of themselves,” she said, “They offered me a decent amount of money to do it. And I was like, no. Even if it’s like, still funny, light-hearted, whatever, it’s low-key not. Maybe I’m just being dramatic, but she’s a new mom, it’s so mean to have this much hate on her.”

In the aftermath of the video being shared across different social media, Francesca posted an update onto her Snapchat saying that she was “glad it did,” as “it’s important to have media literacy as a society.”

She further called out trolls and said she had been spammed with “hundreds” of comments from a small handful of accounts calling her a “liar.” “Hailey definitely didn’t reach out to me and offer to pay me,” she explained. “I would post screenshots of the messages I got…but I could definitely fake those if I wanted to. It’s not proof. And I did show these messages to Hailey. She can do with those what she wants to.”
