I’ve been on nearly every Disney cruise ship, and I’ve learned a lot in the process. Personally, I think you can be good at cruising, and here are 22 tips I learned along the way that save time and money, and, honestly, I think more people would benefit from knowing.
1.
If you’re going out of Port Canaveral, Fort Lauderdale, or San Diego, chances are you’ll have a “Pirate Night” and chances are you’ll feel out of place if you don’t dress up.
3.
Do the fish extenders.
5.
Take advantage of free room service.
7.
Get the second seating for dinner.
8.
Check in as soon as you can to get an earlier port arrival time.
9.
Maybe skip the stroller.
11.
Pay with a Disney Visa (if you have one).
12.
Take advantage of the special requests section.
13.
If you’re in adjoining staterooms, you can have adjoining balconies.
15.
Try to line up 15 minutes before characters come out so that way you only wait 15 minutes for characters.
16.
Don’t take a reusable cup.
17.
Join the Facebook groups.
18.
Buy towels and furnishings from a secret menu as a cheap souvenir.
19.
Make an order for things you can’t pack in your suitcase when you arrive (like a lot of sunscreen).
20.
Take advantage of kids club open houses.
21.
Use the coffee punch card.
