The Dora Milaje translates to The Adored Ones, a group of female soldiers who protect Wakanda. A cool element of the Dora Milaje that wasn’t acknowledged in the films is that, in the comics, each Wakandan tribe sends its most powerful female fighters to join the Dora Milaje.

I love this bizarre WTF fact: The younger version of Zuri, Forest Whitaker’s character, is played by Denzel Whitaker. They share the same surname, but they are NOT related. Not even a distant Uncle James twice removed in the mix!

Everyone in 2018 and 2019 was throwing up the iconic “X” to the chest after the popularity of Black Panther. Coogler says the Wakanda Forever salute was inspired by the pharaohs of ancient Egypt and West African sculptures…which, now that I see it, makes A TON of sense. Coogler has all the vision.
