Although Joni Mitchell wrote this in 1970, the quote accurately applies to the iconic era that was the 2010s. Maybe I am looking back with rose-tinted glasses – we did, after all, think that the world was gonna end in 2012 – but after that, we really hit our stride. Instagram took off along with Snapchat. Vine was riding a never-before-seen high. Ubers were cheap and America was still a democracy. Subway still had $5 footlongs (they are $11.99 now), and Katy Perry was neither in space nor Davos.
However, not everything was so great. Some fashion trends definitely deserve to be left behind. Personally, I never want to see skinny jeans again.
