Now, it appears he’s looking to add a new monument in front of the Lincoln Memorial.
According to The Washington Post, Donald Trump plans to build a “triumphal arch” across from the Lincoln Memorial to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the USA.

The Washington Post says, “The arch initially was intended to be temporary and require expedited construction to coincide with next year’s anniversary, the people said. Now White House officials are considering plans for a permanent arch, according to a person who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe internal conversations.”
They’re also reporting that a DC architect has shared detailed images showing what it could potentially look like:
Naturally, reaction has been mixed.
Some people are calling it an upgrade.
Others are calling it wasteful.
And obviously, you have people already naming it the “Arc de Trump.”
