Here's How I Turn Trader Joe's Banana Bread Mix Into A Satisfying Breakfast


 


Here’s what I tested:

1. Whole milk instead of water and melted butter instead of vegetable oil, two of my go-to swaps for boxed mixes

2. Oats, shredded coconut, chopped dates, and walnuts for texture and substance

3. Sliced banana and a yogurt swirl baked right on top for moisture and nutrition 

And to make the recipe easier to remember, especially on busy mornings, I also turned to a simple rule: ½ cup of pretty much everything.
