Reacting to the gift bags online, several people couldn’t help but express their annoyance at rich celebrities being offered such lavish items and experiences amid an ongoing economic and housing crisis. One Reddit user said, “just what rich people need, more free stuff,” while another wrote, “Dear everyone who loves their fans, can we have homes and healthcare, please?”
“This is so out of touch with how the average person lives,” someone said. “I know these goody bags have always existed but the line between the rich and the poor really is stretching,” one more person added.
