This week, I want to share with you my favorite new corner of Reddit I happened upon (or, if we’re being honest, was force-fed to me by yet another social media algorithm, but I digress). I had seen a few pics from the subreddit r/WellWorn before, but I never really understood the ~point~ of it. I mean, stuff like this is kinda cool to look at:

But where’s the emotion? Where’s the deeper meaning? What can we learn about humanity from this piece of content, or from the many pieces of content within this subreddit? And then, I saw this:

This Very Good Boy™ has been pet by so many passers-by that his lil’ snout is all polished and shiny. And that’s why this community is my favorite thing right now: It reminds me of the ways that most humans are actually cute and good and just trying to find bits of happiness in the world right now.

It just tells a little story about how many of us believe in superstition. There’s enough of us to wear a path in the grass to avoid walking under a pole! It reminds me of something a cat would do, y’know? In fact…

Humans are not beating the “we are actually cats” allegations.

…That cucumbers are fruit?? And mushrooms AREN’T EVEN PLANTS????

“Okay, if the little circles AREN’T made for this, they why are they even there?”

I always like to finish every week by leaving you with a little something that doesn’t necessarily have a home in a BuzzFeed post or anywhere else, but I feel like I MUST share with you, because I can’t get it out of my head. This week, it’s all about Poob (Poob has it for you):

That’s all for this week, see you later! And remember, if you want more like this, you can subscribe to the Only Good Internet newsletter (if you want, I mean, don’t let me tell you what to do, ya know?).
