Since the big news was revealed, the couple made their red carpet debut at the NFL Honors earlier this month — but we still haven’t heard that much about the engagement itself…
During the interview, Hailee was asked if she was anticipating the proposal — and, as it turns out, she didn’t know a damn thing about it. “Oh my God, no!” she said. “You talk to your girlfriends about that, right, where you’re like, ‘I just don’t want to know.'”
Hailee also revealed that the proposal took place while she and Josh were vacationing in Malibu, “which is my happy place, and it was magical. That’s the word.”
Hailee also revealed that she was thankful she was dressed up in something a little fancier than, say, a Buffalo Bills sweatshirt and sweatpants.
“I’m so grateful that he did it the way he did so that I looked good, and we have these photos that we’ll have and cherish for the rest of our lives that I’m not looking at being like, ‘What was I wearing?'”
