Glen Powell’s New Series Is “Mrs. Doubtfire” But For Football, And I’m SEATED

‘Chad Powers’ Preview: A Guide To Glen Powell’s New Series

Now, he’s back with an all-new Hulu series called Chad Powers, and it’s essentially Mrs. Doubtfire with a football spin.

The premise? Disgraced quarterback Russ Holliday attempts to reinvent himself with the Hail Mary of a lifetime.

After his showboating antics cost him the Rose Bowl, Russ goes in disguise during South Georgia’s open football tryouts.

He instantly blows everyone away with his elite QB skills and makes the team. But what happens next? You’ll have to wait and find out.

Real-life brothers and former NFL players Eli and Peyton Manning serve as executive producers on the series. There’s even a blink-and-you-miss-it cameo of Eli in the trailer.

Eli’s role as executive producer is fitting since he inspired the Chad Powers persona to begin with. The retired QB went undercover in hopes of securing a walk-on position at Penn State during an episode of Eli’s Places on ESPN. See the full episode to see how it turned out here.

And just like these guys, I’ll be getting front row seats to the show when it premieres.

Are you excited to watch the show? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
