The New York Times said, “The speech was, in typical form, largely strung together from familiar lines he uses at White House events, rallies and speeches. And, in Trumpian style, there were a long list of exaggerations and misleading statements.”
USA Today said Trump played the blame game: “Trump’s highly political speech quickly turned into a greatest hits of his favorite attacks as he blamed Biden and Democrats for leaving him a disaster on the economy, the border and more.”
And the Telegraph said, “Trump’s uncharacteristically wooden address to the nation revealed a panicked president.”
