In the spirit of the holidays, the cold open began with the narrator saying, “On a cold December night, high above the Earth flies a big, jolly man of considerable girth, making his way to every home under the sun in his magical sleigh… Air Force One.”
Then it abruptly cut to the White House Press Secretary surrounded by reporters.
Then, Trump made his grand entrance with extremely awkward antics that, unfortunately, are not too far off from reality.
He awkwardly obsessed over Karoline’s mouth.
Then, Trump told CNN reporter Kaitlan Collins (Chloe Fineman) that affordability was a “made-up term,” mocking real comments he made on Dec. 2 about affordability being a “fake narrative” and “con job.” Last month, he said affordability was a “new word” created by Democrats.
Eventually, Trump began ranting about how the government is “doing pirate now,” referencing the US executing a seizure warrant on an oil tanker off the coast of Venezuela.
After Trump admitted the Ambien is winning, he began ranting about his connection to the Epstein files, at first calling it a hoax before changing his tune, saying, “I’m in the files, I took a lot of great pictures,” which made Karoline cut the interview short.
This SNL cold open had everybody on the internet saying the same thing:
