Chrissy Teigen is speaking out after a recent hospital pic left fans seriously concerned for her.
Earlier this week, the model briefly appeared on Instagram Live from what appeared to be a hospital bed. Most of her head was wrapped in bandages, with one viewer commenting that Chrissy seemed completely “out of it.”
Chrissy didn’t share an explanation at the time, but last night, she returned to Instagram to let fans know what was going on.
“Hi friends!” she began. “A lot of you wondering about my hospital pic which is very understandable as I gave no explanation lol.”
Chrissy said she had “a hairline lowering procedure” to help treat hair loss and thinning hair. “Lost a lot in the front from babies and it’s just very thin up there,” she continued, before revealing that she’s “ALWAYS” wearing extensions on the red carpet due to thinning hair.
“Anyhow I’ll share more later if you’re interested in the journey because it really is a journey,” the mom-of-four added. The post was accompanied by a photo of her with fresh stitches across her hairline.
Of course, Chrissy is no a stranger to cosmetic procedures. In fact, she told Byrdie that she’s had it done on various parts of her body — “except my cheeks.”
“I’m not shy talking about that sort of thing,” she added. “I have no regrets.”
