We’re almost at 2026, which means new year, new you! And the first place we’re starting is becoming a healthy, happy, loving partner. Because honestly? Life is way too short for relationships that aren’t absolutely amazing. And I know it sounds a little Hallmark-y, but it’s true: the best way to have a great relationship is to start by being a great partner. You attract what you are. So focus on yourself, and your partner will either rise to that same standard — or you’ll realize it’s time to be with someone who’s on the same page as you.
And above everything else: do not settle. Don’t settle for being a less-than partner, and don’t settle for having one, either. So now it’s time to check in and see how you’re doing in the love department. Go ahead and check off which habits, traits, and qualities you already possess, and I’ll tell you whether you’re a relationship pro — or if you might need a little time to work on yourself.
So how’d it go? Are you the best partner you can be? Or is there room for improvement? Well…to be honest, there is always room for improvement, so don’t beat yourself up. The point is, a new year is coming, and this year we are all going to work hard to be the best version of ourselves we can be.
And in the meantime, tell me in the comments what your dating or relationship New Year’s resolution is. Do you want to be a better listener? Make more time for physical connection? Go on more date nights? Whatever it is…tell me in the comments.
