“I managed an event venue where other companies held work parties. One that stands out is I was working during a holiday party for some white collar company. I was chit-chatting with some of the attendees between duties when this mid-50s guy walked in with a 20-year-old woman on his arm. One of the ladies I was talking to looked up and said in utter shock, ‘That’s not his wife.'”

“People were talking about it like wild all through the event. I gathered over the course of the evening that the guy didn’t tell his wife about the party and instead told her he was going on a work trip. He brought the side piece to the party and planned to spend the weekend with her at a hotel. He assumed no one at work would think twice about it, I guess. Anyway, they both got plastered super quickly (I’d be shocked if she was of legal age to be drinking), and about an hour later, who showed up at the party? Yep! Dude’s wife. She walked up to him and pushed him into a catering table, then full-on sucker punched the girl. She had a broken nose from the looks of it; there was blood everywhere. The wife said something about calling a lawyer (for the divorce or the assault charges, I don’t know), but went back out the front door to the Uber that she’d apparently told to wait for her. She hopped in and drove off into the night. Cheater McDickface took his date to the hospital, but not before she tripped and smacked her face AGAIN on the wood floor right before they made it out the door. Someone else drove them to the hospital, from what it looked like. This was all at like 9:30 p.m. The party was set to continue until midnight, but it pretty much wrapped up over the next hour. I got to go home early and tell the story to my coworkers over the next week.”
