No scary movies will be watched under Candace Cameron Bure’s roof.
That’s because the former Hallmark star, who is Christian, believes they’re “incredibly demonic” and can be a “portal” to something evil.
Candace shared her hot take about horror films during a recent episode of The Candace Cameron Bure Podcast. She said, “You’re opening up a portal. Like if you’re watching this, or you’re playing this video game, or whatever, that’s a portal that could let stuff inside our home.”
Candace’s family, which includes husband Valeri Bure and kids, Natasha, 26, Lev, 25, and Maksim, 23, seems to disagree as Candace said they “make fun of [her] all the time” for her beliefs. Still, she’s convinced that watching scary movies can lead to “spiritual thing[s] happening” inside the house.
“I don’t even want someone watching a scary movie in our house on the TV, because to me, that’s just a portal,” she confessed.
Candace, who has appeared in dozens of movie and TV projects, including Full House and its Fuller House spinoff, added that while she understands it’s technically not real, she believes that “demonic” things can happen when a film is being made.
“Listen, I’m in the film industry,” she noted. “I understand how it all works. I know that movie, specifically, has a crew of 200 people, and they’re lighting it, and they’re adding the sound effects, and it’s makeup, and camerapeople and actors. However, there’s still something that can be incredibly demonic while they’ve made it.”
