Then, anticipating some backlash, he added, “And I don’t give a F how you feel about it.”
He was right to expect some pushback — because the post wound up getting nearly 8,000 replies, with many readers debating his take.
Some people even got upset, with one fan threatening to stop watching SVU because of Ice-T’s tweets.
Their response came after the actor quote-tweeted a post noting that “Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl show is reportedly the most‑watched halftime performance in NFL history, with over 135 million viewers,” which included a photo of Bad Bunny and an image of an angry Donald Trump, who had recently criticized the halftime show on Truth Social.
“Haters can Hate….. But they ALWAYS lose…. Always,” Ice-T said.
A user responded: “iCE T is done for me. if @SVUWritersRoom even thinks about bringing him back even part time, I’m out and have watched this show from the beginning. This is just sad that he had to go and open his mouth again. This show will be done if people see him back on the show. #IceT #SVU.”
As a man who once stirred controversy with songs like 1992’s “Cop Killer,” Ice-T said having people dislike him was nothing new. “For me… Having millions of people disagree with me and dislike me is absolutely the NORM for my entire life,” he wrote in a follow-up tweet. “It’s never stopped Anything.”
He concluded: “Stand for something.. Have some Fn Courage. 👊🏽”
Well, he may be losing some SVU viewers, but at least he’s winning at social media.
