Ana de Armas made some very rare comments about Tom Cruise.
As you know, Tom and Ana have been seen out together numerous times in recent months. They were first spotted in London together around Valentine’s Day. Then they were seen getting off a helicopter piloted by Tom, and shortly after that, they were seen together again just before Ana’s 37th birthday. Naturally, it’s caused people to think the two are dating.
But on Thursday, Ana clarified their relationship.
“It’s so much fun,” she said when asked about working with Tom. “We’re definitely working on a lot of things. Not just one, but a few projects with Doug Liman and Christopher McQuarrie and, of course, Tom. And I’m so excited.”
While she didn’t share additional details, both directors are known for working on action films. Doug directed Tom’s 2014 film Edge of Tomorrow, as well as 2017’s American Made, while Christopher has directed several Mission Impossible movies, including the upcoming Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, which releases on May 23.
The comments echo what a source told People about Tom and Ana’s relationship shortly after they were first spotted in February. At the time, the insider said they were “discussing potential collaborations down the line” and that they “appeared to have no romantic connection, just friends.”
