Let’s go back to the red carpet premiere of It Ends With Us — specifically, Justin’s outfit at the time. He wore a rose pin on the lapel of his suit jacket, which you can see below.
Now here’s Brandon at the annual Vanity Fair Oscars party. Notice anything familiar?
Take a closer look. Yup, looks like pretty much the exact same pin.
Of course, since the Lively-Baldoni situation is basically QAnon for a certain type of online person, there was some speculation that Brandon wore the pin in solidarity with Justin — but in a new interview with People, he handily squashes that rumor.
“Honestly, no. I wish I could say there was,” Brandon replied when he was asked if he wore the pin for any specific reason.
“That was a total happenstance. I woke up in the morning and saw an article and I was like, ‘Oh, damn.’ I literally had no idea. I had an idea I wanted to wear like a floral brooch of some kind and that was the color that I liked the best. And, lo and behold, someone also wore that prior to me wearing it.”
There you have it. I’d say this gives some hope that we can move on from conspiracy theories around this whole dealio — but who am I kidding. More soon, I’m sure!
