We do a lot of posts at BuzzFeed about funny signs. Those are fun, aren’t they? You giggle at a bunch of signs like the one below and then go about your day feeling a little lighter. It’s nice, you know?
Well, I’m sorry to inform you, these signs are NOT funny. These signs are pure nightmare fuel, and will likely leave you with a feeling of dread in your stomach. So heed this:

And this sign on a freight elevator reads: WARNING — RISK OF BEING CRUSHED. (This is some disturbing shizz, you weirdo Swedes.)

I’ve had bad dreams that start almost exactly like this:

“Don’t worry!” this zoo says. Yeah, no. I’d worry.

And these ominous signs appeared throughout Amarillo, Texas, often on people’s property. That’s all we know. (Shivers.)

Imagine polishing off your sandwich and then looking up and seeing this.

Good grief. This is why I don’t hike — you never see signs like this posted near my couch.

And this sign in a school is so sad and unsettling.

This is pretty unsettling…and based on the way it’s written it sounds like there’s something more nefarious to this story than meets the eye.

And I don’t use meth (or crank, speed, glass, tweak, or yaba), but I’d still be seriously unnerved seeing a sign warning of death at the dentist.

This is supposed to make you wear a lifejacket, but it’s making me simply not want to get in the lake at all!

The creepiest part of this one near the southern border is imagining people staring up at it and wondering, “Is that true? Or a trick?”

Yikes. A furry getting shot and killed in the woods by a hunter sounds like a horror film….or episode of Law & Order.
