There are certain things that seemed to be EVERYWHERE at one point in time. They were all anyone talked about, and then they just…disappeared.
So when Rustyyryan on Reddit asked, “What was very popular at peak but disappeared like never existed?” we decided to compile a list of the things people remember being super popular before they seemed to vanish altogether, from apps, toys, accessories, and more.

“Planking. Remember when people were just… lying down everywhere and taking photos? And we all collectively pretended that was peak entertainment?”

“MiniDisc. A great recording format that I loved but never really took off.”

“HQ trivia. Everyone I knew, and I played it live whenever there was a game — and then it was gone. I forgot about it until just recently.”
