31 TV Shows Were Basically Everyone’s Entire Personality, But Have Somehow Completely Vanished

Iconic TV Shows That Disappeared From Memory

1.

Dinosaurs (1991–1994). That show was everywhere back in the day, and now it’s like a weird fever dream.”

2.

Murphy Brown (1988–1998). Won a bunch of awards, ran for 11 seasons, but can’t remember the last time I’ve heard anyone mention it.”

3.

Ally McBeal (1997–2002).”

4.

“It will never cease to amaze me how quickly Game of Thrones (2011–2019) disappeared from the public consciousness. It was everywhere. People were naming their kids after it. Then, poof.”

5.

Heroes (2006–2010).”

6.

The Drew Carey Show (1995–2004). It ran for 9 seasons. Early on, it was highly rated and critically well-received. Then it was on everywhere and all the time in syndication, even while new episode ratings were tanking at the end…it’s so forgotten it’s only on lower-tier free streaming services most people have never even heard of.”

7.

My Name Is Earl (2005–2009). Decently popular during its run, but I don’t think I’ve heard anyone mention it since being canceled.”

8.

Moonlighting (1985–1989).”

10.

Northern Exposure (1990–1995).”

11.

My So-Called Life (1994–1995). It was immensely popular with teens and tweens for a brief period, established Claire Danes as an actress (and Jared Leto as an actor, I suppose).”

12.

Wings (1990–1997).”

13.

WKRP in Cincinnati (1978–1982).”

14.

3rd Rock From the Sun (1996–2001). When I would say the short version “3rd rock”…people would think I was saying 30 Rock.”

15.

Glee (2009–2015). I mean, there was a time when everyone watched that show. Hell, The Office had a whole episode basically about Glee. But I never hear it brought up as anything but a relic of the late aughts these days.”

16.

The O.C. (2003–2007).”

17.

Dallas (1978–1991).”

18.

Prison Break (2005–2009, 2017).”

19.

Lost (2004–2010).”

20.

Mad About You (1992–1999, 2019).”

21.

Night Court (1984–1992).”

22.

Daria (1997–2002).”

23.

Californication (2007–2014).”

24.

“Anyone remember Monk (2002–2009)? That sh*t was my jam.

25.

Adventures of the Gummi Bears (1985–1991)…RIP.”

26.

Sabrina the Teenage Witch (1996–2003).”

28.

Melrose Place (1992–1999) was so huge. I couldn’t wait to see what outrageous plot lines they would come up with. The first season was so boring, though.”

29.

Designing Women (1986–1993). They never shied away from shining a light on misogyny, racism, single parents’ needs, crime, and government corruption. They did it all with grace and humor. I never missed an episode, and watching it today just makes me sad that the ideals they envisioned either have never come to pass or are slipping backwards.”

30.

The Shield (2002–2008).”
