“He told my best friend he cheated and wanted to break up, but told her not to tell me… Yeah, right, like that was gonna happen. They were friends, too, but I trumped him any day of the week. He refused to give my stuff back, so I took over his Eve Online account (he had given me his login previously so I could play) and changed the password and email address. The first week, I simply played the game. The second week, I started giving away his stuff. The third week, I started to kill his character without a clone, so he lost a year’s worth of skill points, and it costs 15 euros a month to play. If he had just handled himself like an adult, broken up with me, and given my stuff back (he did not have to see me to do either), I would have done nothing.”
“Instead, he wasted time trying to get the game support to give him his account back. Spoiler, they did not, and he was mighty pissed when he saw the state of his account when I gave him his login back, after he returned my stuff, of course. This was when I was 23; I’m 45 now.”
