The beauty routine. Don’t know where to start? I gotchu!
Here are a few tips if you choose to partake in any of these beauty procedures:
Spray tan: 48 hours before the wedding, and AFTER mani/pedi and lashes. If you’ve never had one, try a spray tan at least once, six weeks before to see if you react, if you prefer a lighter or darker shade, or if you want to try a different artist.
Waxing: 48 hours before a spray tan. This allows skin breakage to heal.
Lashes: 2-3 days before the wedding, and BEFORE a spray tan. Also, if you’ve never had lashes, try getting them a few months before, in case your eyes react.
Mani/Pedi: 2-3 days before the wedding, and BEFORE a spray tan (or else the exfoliant can start to scrub off the tan).
Facial: Must be done AT LEAST 10-14 days before…in case you break out. Plus, it will give your skin time to heal from the (delicious) abrasion.
Colouring Hair: 1 week before – enough time for any adjustments or touch-ups to be made, allowing you to book a last-minute appointment if needed.
Cutting Hair: For women, 1-2 weeks before the wedding, to give the hair time to settle. For men, it can be done as late as the day before.
Professional Beard Grooming: My husband did this the day before, and he has NEVER looked so good. Highly recommend.
