13 Times Taylor Swift *Allegedly* Referenced Her Friends (And Enemies) In Her Songs

7.

Folklore has another great song that honors a friendship, although if it is about any one specific person, it’s not anybody we know. “Seven” seems to be about a childhood friendship and the innocence Taylor and her unnamed friend shared at that age. “And though I can’t recall your face / I still got love for you,” she croons.

But the friend seems to have a troubled home life: “And I’ve been meaning to tell you / I think your house is haunted / Your dad is always mad and that must be why,” Taylor sings. “And I think you should come live with me / And we can be pirates / Then you won’t have to cry.”
