Today I learned that New York City mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani met his wife, Rama Duwaji, on Hinge during the pandemic.
The story made me legit LOL, because that’s how I met my lady as well… on Hinge during the pandemic.
Then it started a conversation where I found that quite a few people I know also met their significant other on Hinge during the pandemic. Which made me curious, is this a popular phenomenon?
I know that during the pandemic, many places, like here in Los Angeles, were on lockdown. And the only way to really meet people was online, since bars, restaurants, concerts, and most venues were closed.
So now I’m curious. BuzzFeed community, did you meet your significant other on a dating app?
