Everyone is super over it. Especially Anders Vistisen, a Danish politician and Member of the European Parliament (MEP), who recently had some WORDS for Trump. Two, to be specific.
Vistisen posted the clip of his recent speech to Instagram, alongside a caption that reads (translated from Danish), “Trump’s threats against the Kingdom of Denmark are completely unacceptable. Almost a year ago, I stood in exactly the same chair and warned against Donald Trump’s aggressive rhetoric towards the Arctic and Denmark.”
The caption continues, “Back then, I also said it clearly. Had Europe listened then, instead of continuing with bad trade deals and giving in to Trump’s Arctic narrative, we would have been much stronger today.”
As Vistisen mentions in his post, he isn’t new to this; he’s true to this. A year ago, he had an even more stern two-worded message for Trump — “fuck off.”
“Dear President Trump, listen very carefully. Greenland have been part of the Danish Kingdom for 800 years,” Vistisen said in 2025. “It’s an integrated part of our country. It is not for sale. Let me put it in words you might understand: Mr. Trump, fuck off.”
Online, people are pretty stoked about Vistisen’s strong language. One person wrote, “Aggression must be met with aggression. No more polite conversation. Tell it like it is!”
“That’s what setting boundaries looks like. Europe isn’t normalizing bullying or imperial theatrics anymore. Respect = Respect only.”
“Thank you, Mr. Vistisen, for saying what the entire world wants to say to Donald Trump.”
So, there you have it! Thoughts???
