And if you’re getting déjà vu, that might be because this is far from the first time that the Beckhams have seemingly been at odds with Brooklyn and Nicola. In fact, when the couple first got married back in 2022, there were a whole load of rumors — not to mention pretty obvious hints — that there was some kind of beef between Nicola and Victoria.
And Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding was back in the headlines on Thursday, with sources claiming that all of the drama stems from Victoria allegedly hijacking their first dance.
“Marc Anthony, who is a friend of the Beckhams, offered to perform as a gift at the wedding,” a source told People. “Before the song began, Marc Anthony asked Brooklyn to come to the stage, and then announced, ‘The most beautiful woman in the room tonight, come on up…Victoria Beckham!'”
While none of the Beckhams have publicly commented on this report, youngest son, Cruz, did appear to suggest that it wasn’t true with a cryptic post to his Instagram story that was shared soon after People’s article was published.
“It takes 43 muscles in your face to frown And 17 to smile,” the mysterious post began, before pointedly adding: “Be kind and tell the truth.”
In case you’ve missed it, Cruz’s social media account has been a bit of a treasure trove in recent weeks, with the 20 year old also appearing to make a pointed dig at Brooklyn after he called Nicola his “whole world” in a soppy Instagram post on Saturday.
Prior to this, Cruz and Romeo seemingly mocked Nicola on Instagram after she commented on Romeo’s ex Mia Regan’s post. On Apr. 5, Nicola wrote: “so beautiful mia 🩷✨,” which Mia liked.
