The Trump administration is once again facing backlash for a recent tweet. This time, it comes from the US Department of Labor.
This weekend, alongside historical images of the founding fathers and war, the department tweeted: “One Homeland. One People. One Hertage. Remember who you are, American.”
The post quickly drew in over 11.2 million viewers and counting — many of whom drew parrellels between the phrase “One Homeland. One People. One Hertage,” and the last time they knew of political leaders using similar messaging.
That being Nazi Germany’s widely used slogan “Ein Volk, ein Reich, ein Führer,” which translates to, “One People, One Empire, One Leader.”
